My story today… (become the person, the rest will take care of itself. Align align align)
Today I started a jigsaw.
WTF!!! I hear you say! A jigsaw!! What’s that got to do with anything?
Bear with me!! It’s not really about the jigsaw, it’s about how I came to be doing it, and how you can apply this to your own life to get anything you want. Why today? Why today, three years after I first started it and put it away again for lack of time, did I take it down off the shelf, open it up and start doing it again?
Had I planned this moment, had I been obsessing about it for three years, had I been dreaming and visioning about doing it, had I made myself sick with worry trying to work out how to make this happen? No, of course not. That would be a bit mad right?!!
And honestly, it’s mad to do that with ANYTHING you want in your life, because that’s not how it works.
So how DID it happen? Why today?
Because I had BECOME the kind of person who does jigsaw puzzles. My business is going really well and requires less time and energy from me, my finances are stable, my house is organised, my filing is done, and my garden feels under control.
It’s not, but it FEELS like it is. And the feeling is what’s important. I FEEL like someone who has time, space and energy on their hands, I feel relaxed, I feel like I can fit this into my life. I also became the person who feels they DESERVE to spend time doing ‘nothing.’ AND, perhaps most importantly, I cleared the dining room table of my papers!!!!
I didn’t consciously think about it, it just happened, the jigsaw was the thing that I chose to fill this space. It could have been anything really. I hadn’t been consciously thinking about this for three years, but I could have been. I could have consciously set the intention to restart the jigsaw on that date. But I don’t believe that alone wouldn’t have made it happen.
Unless I had done the inner work, set my life and beliefs up so that I had space for it, had BECOME that person who does jigsaws, those intentions were unlikely to come true.
So stop thinking about the thing, about the how, and start thinking about the being. Think about someone who already has the thing you want. How do they look, how do they act, how do they present themselves, and how do they FEEL? Become that person and the thing you want cannot help come to you. THIS is the law of attraction and YOU CAN DO IT. I believe in you. (Tip: start small!)
MAKE YOUR COMMITMENT MORE REAL IN THE COMMENTS. WHAT DO YOU WANT? HOW DOES SOMEONE ACT WHO HAS IT? WHAT BELIEFS DO THEY HOLD? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO START BECOMING, FEELING AND ACTING LIKE THAT PERSON? Is there someone you can think of who embodies these qualities?
